The ZR-V e:HEV LX brings that concept to life, and it does it well. This particular car was a former Honda executive vehicle, which means it still carries a full Honda factory warranty through to 2030. Two services ahead are capped at $199 each, with 12-month or 10,000-kilometre intervals. Plus it’s due to be serviced in our Honda workshop prior to handover.

Finished in the signature Honda Premium Crystal Garnet metallic, the paint presents beautifully. It’s travelled just 15,000 kilometres. Being the LX variant, the highest in the ZR-V hybrid range, it comes with a strong set of standard features. These include full leather-appointed seating, a power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory for two positions, and a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Dual-zone climate control keeps things comfortable, and the wireless phone charger is a convenience that quickly becomes hard to go without.

Drive modes include Sport, Normal and Eco, and the ZR-V’s 1.9L/100km combined fuel consumption (ADR cycle) speaks to the efficiency of Honda’s hybrid system. The push-button gear selector is intuitive and tidy, while paddle shifters allow for manual-style control if you want it. Hill descent control and traction control are both standard. This vehicle comes with two keys, full service books and genuine ZR-V carpet mats.
